The main goal of FootGolf is similar to the main goal of golf - To get the ball (a standard size UK football) from the teeing ground into the hole in the least number of kicks possible.
1. Tee off inline with the tee markers (no part of the ball should be in front of this line)
2. Wait for the ball to come to a complete stop before your next kick
3. The player further from the hole should play first
4. Kicking the ball - This must be done in a single motion and the sole of the foot may not be use
5. Marking the ball – When ball obstructs the line of another player then the ball may be marked with a small object
6. Play the ball from where it lies (or take a one shot penalty drop within 2 steps of the nearest point of relief)
7. All ditches, water hazards, out of bounds, unplayable lie and lost ball - drop the ball within 2 steps of the nearest point back on the course – One Shot Penalty
